He started professional recitation of the Quran at the age of 6. Later, at 16, he memorized the Quran. Upon completing the noble Quran’s memorization, his desire to learn and serve Islam led him to Qom, where he studied for 9 years with concentration on Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, Philosophy, and Quranic Studies. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Mysticism, known as “Irfan.” He has been teaching and training teachers for over 15 years.
Sayed Jawad Wahedi joined Islamic Center of MOMIN in early 2022 as the scholar in residence. His main focus is to spread the true message of Islam and the Ahlul-Bayt (AS) and help youth develop a strong muslim identity . He has worked with several centers of research on various Islamic topics and authored and co-authored many articles. He regularly travels to different states to deliver English speeches at different Islamic centers. Alongside his other activities he is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
